Hendy Woods State Park
Hendy Woods State Park is on Greenwood Road near the junction of Highway 128. It offers 90 woodland campsites. There you can explore the pristine wilderness along the banks of the Navarro River, or hike the mile-long Loop Trail through virgin redwoods.

Faulkner County Park
Located 3 miles southwest of Boonville on Mountain View Road, Faulkner County Park offers a beautiful place to picnic and relax.

Indian Creek County Park
Visit Indian Creek County Park, just off Highway 128 near Philo, for creekside picnicking among the surrounding trees. Campsites are also available.

Paul Dimmick Campground
Paul Dimmick Campground can be found ten miles west of Navarro. There you can camp amid the towering redwoods while the Navarro River offers steelhead fishing in the winter, swimming in the summer.
There is a fun kids playground on Airport Road just behind the high school. It features swings, a climbing structure with slides, jungle gyms, and picnic areas with BBQs. When traveling north on Hwy 128 in Boonville, turn left onto Mountain View Road, then right onto Airport Road. The playground is immediately visible.
Also in the area are two state redwood reserves, Mailliard Redwoods and Montgomery Woods.
